PR Daily Audit Report

As I have learned more about social media through my Cap 105 course, I have learned how audit social media platforms for the company PR Daily. An audit consists of a few things: social media handle, number of posts posted in the last (two) months, total likes, comments, shares, and retweets, the target demographic, number of profile followers, and an evaluation of their performance. The platforms I looked at were Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Audit Report for Facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/prdaily/

  • @prdaily
  • 113 posts in the last two months (December-current)
  • Target demographic: towards the older generation who uses Facebook more often
  • Number of followers/likes: 106,344 people like this page, 108,772 follow this page

Audit Report for Twitter:

https://twitter.com/PRDaily
  • @PRDaily
  • Have tweeted 474 times in the past two months
  • Twitter is geared more towards the younger generation since this is where most people get their news now a days
  • 115.8K followers, 6,309 following, 59.1k tweets

Audit for LinkedIn:

https://www.linkedin.com/groups/3859898/

  • It is a private group so I do not have access to the information I need
  • Targeted towards more professional individuals
  • 81,047 professionals in this group

In conclusion I feel that PR Daily could clean up their social media platforms. They have the best following on Twitter and have the most interaction with their consumers through Twitter. They can better their platforms by not posting the same post more than I would say two times but if you are trying to get a point across maybe try it in different ways rather than posting the same post multiple times. I also found it difficult that I need to access LinkedIn through a request. I do not understand why they made it public. One last thing I think would help PRDaily platforms is if they do more audience interaction such as polls, questions, quizzes, etc.

Get to know me!

Hello everyone! My name is Laura Bywalec and I am a junior at Grand Valley State University studying Advertisement and Public Relations. I am very outgoing and love talking to and being around other people, I am very approachable and open, hardworking, adventurous, and chill. Experiences that have helped define me as an individual are that I have two older brothers. Being the only girl in the family is not always the best but by only having two older brothers, they shaped me into the woman I am today. They have made me realize it is better to stay calm and collective than be dramatic and pushy. Over the years my brothers have really tested me but with their help they have shown me how to be a chill girl and how to not let the little things in life bother you. I competed in a power lifting competition in February 2019. This meet helped me become a disciplined, driven, and hardworking girl. Throughout my prep for my meet I realized the importance of discipline and hard work. Moving forward in future meets I now know what it takes to be a top power-lifter compared to a mediocre one. Although I placed 8/9 girls in my meet, I broke 8 state records. I worked my butt off to even place where I did but if I never gave it a try, I would not have come out of the meet a better lifter and learned what I had about lifting. After my meet I was able to pull big numbers meaning I was able to dead-lift 300. I came out stronger from my meet and ready to dominate more. Another thing that helped me become hardworking is my independent attitude. Ever since I was younger, I always talked about how I hated having to depend on people for money. I always hated having people buy things for me and having to wait for people to give me money so when I turned 14 and 9 months, I got my first job. My first job was at a catering business where I only ever worked once but my willingness to work allowed me to find other jobs that I absolutely fell in love with. Ever since I was 14 I have been driven and hardworking. I am constantly focused on myself and what I can do to better improve myself.

My entire life was revolved around sports up until college. I cheered since 3rd grade and played softball for 3 years of high school. I was constantly busy and constantly moving and then I came to college not having any of those obligations anymore and so I picked up weightlifting. Weightlifting has changed my life for the better. It has made me the hardworking, dedicated individual that I am. I was on the junior varsity team for 2 years and the varsity team for 2 years. Each of those teams taught me what it means to work hard. I was constantly getting yelled at asking if I want it, asking if I want to win, if I really do want it. At the time I would want it but say no because I was being worked so hard but looking back even though I am no longer on those teams I am still carrying the same aspects that my teammates and coaches had. I can constantly hear them in my head yelling “One more rep, how bad do you want it, do you really want it?” I am constantly pushing myself and constantly striving for more all because of these amazing teams who helped shape who I am today. With being on so many teams it teaches you how to communicate with others. You learn how to get large amounts of people talk to you. I have become a loud speaker who leads a crowd. I am verbal and open with others. I do not like to be confrontational but will because I believe that it is better to say what you need/want to say then to hold it in and bottle it up. By being able to communicate openly with people you feel freer and more genuine. Growing up in my family you learn to communicate as well. My father loves to talk and to ever get a word in you have to say it fast and loud and that is exactly what I do not only with my family but everyone. I make sure to say what I must clearly and precisely. I make sure to get right to the point so there is no time or words wasted. Moving forward I want to be successful. I honestly do not know what I want to do with my life yet but all I know is that I want to be successful. My life has had many roller-coasters but has definitely led me to who and where I am today. I know I want to travel the world and experience the things I want to before I can’t. I want to own an ice cream shop and do bodybuilding competitions. I want to do anything and everything because adventure is my middle name. I don’t live for the future but for the present. I don’t look ahead but simply live in the moment. By living in the moment, you are not adding extra stress onto yourself; it is good to have a plan for the future but for me it is all about the moment you are in. It’s about the experiences you are in right now. Live in the moment and for yourself because you only have one life, do not waste it.
